Web Advertising Made Simple

The golden rule that makes web-advertising work is really very simple. You just need to understand that folks online hate to be advertised to.

So how do you do your web advertising? You start off by giving away valuable information and then offering the product that you want to advertise as one of the solutions to the problems your information-packed article is talking about.

Many of you may be disappointed at the simplicity of that statement. Human nature is such that we are always seeking the complex. But please bear in mind that this is the secret behind the multi-billion dollar Google Inc. juggernaut. This web enterprise makes virtually all its' money from those tiny, ugly-looking text ads we see next to search results and in millions of sites across the World Wide Web. Google earns money from the clicks on those ads and the reason those web advertisements work is because they are text ads rather than banner ads and then they are always targeted. Animal food ads will tend to appear on animal topic sites and pages. But most of all Google Adsense ads work because every effort was made right from the beginning to have them viewed as sources of information rather than advertisements. That is why they appear next to search engine results and also on web sites so that a reader who does not find enough information or just wants more information can click on them.

If you fully grasp this simple truth, you will never go wrong with your web advertising.
